At 56 floors above ground, SKYE has always been less about escape and more about perspective. Now, it returns with a shift in tone that feels more measured and deliberately composed.
The sweeping view over Bundaran HI remains constant, yet the atmosphere no longer competes for attention. Architect Willis Kusuma refines the interiors with a restrained material palette that pairs organic textures with matte metallic finishes. Light is absorbed rather than amplified, creating a setting that feels grounded despite its elevation. The transition from the indoor dining room to the terrace unfolds fluidly, guided by open sightlines and a natural breeze that draws guests outward. It is a space designed not for movement, but for pause.
In the kitchen, the Western Contemporary Grill concept brings a sharper focus to execution. Flavours are presented with clarity, each element considered rather than layered excessively. The Sir Harry Orange-Fed Wagyu offers a gentle, lingering sweetness, while the Bone Marrow Escargot delivers a deeper richness, balanced by the precision of its preparation.
The beverage programme follows two distinct directions. The lounge introduces the Fruit Roulette series, in which single ingredients are explored in focused compositions, such as the citrus-forward Given Lemon. In the dining area, Taste of Places presents cocktails shaped to complement the menu, including the herbaceous Coriander Spin.
As the sun lowers, the SKYE Ombré cocktail marks a brief transition between day and night, served only within that narrow window of light. It becomes a shared moment on the terrace, subtle yet intentional. With a curated cellar, evolving music, and a more considered atmosphere, SKYE continues to observe Jakarta from above, offering a perspective that feels both composed and quietly engaging.
