Perched on the 46th floor of The Plaza Jakarta, Enmaru unfolds as a dining space shaped by conversation, movement, and the inviting scent of the kitchen’s aromas. Framed by sweeping views of Jakarta’s skyline, Enmaru offers a refined setting that highlights the craftsmanship of Japanese cuisine, with elevated interpretations of classic dishes and seafood sourced from Tokyo’s markets to pair with the experience.
The interior reflects a quiet sense of Japanese design, combining natural wood elements, soft lighting, and a restrained, minimalist approach. The result is a space that feels calm and intimate, where traditional warmth meets a contemporary sensibility. Paired with the city views beyond, the setting encourages a slower pace, allowing guests to settle in and fully take in the experience.
Two private dining rooms sit alongside the main space, each accommodating up to eight guests. Inspired by Japan’s understated dining traditions, these rooms offer privacy while remaining connected to the restaurant’s overall atmosphere. As the evening deepens, floor-to-ceiling windows frame the shifting city lights, creating a setting that works just as well for personal occasions as it does for business gatherings.
At the heart of Enmaru is a kitchen helmed by Executive Chef Takashi Tomie, whose philosophy is built on precision, seasonality, and an unwavering respect for the craft. The menu is a sophisticated study in balance, pairing decadent heavyweights like Japanese bluefin tuna, foie gras, and Iwate Prefecture Wagyu with a rotating selection of lighter, seasonal compositions.
This culinary narrative is further elevated by a curated Sake program, resulting in a dining experience that feels both measured and deeply composed. It is an atmosphere defined by thoughtful details and a quiet confidence, inviting guests to slow down and savour the artistry in every bite.
