Located at the ever-majestic The Apurva Kempinski Bali in Nusa Dua, Koral Restaurant is the island’s first underwater restaurant that offers a multi-sensory experience. Led by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Jean-Baptiste Natali, the restaurant has been a favourite among avid travellers and local epicureans since opening its doors in 2019.
Upon descending the stairs, diners will be captivated by the diversity of marine life. Inside the restaurant, teak ceilings and walls of traditional red clay bricks frame the underwater views, while underfoot, elegant black and white tegel tiles popular in royal courts further add to the sense of historic splendour. Within the aquarium, tropical fish swirl in a kaleidoscope of colours, creating a mesmerising backdrop for the diners.
At Koral Restaurant, diners feast on elegant dishes inspired by Indonesian coastal flavours and crafted from local ingredients at a venue that is both casual and refined. In addition to the à la carte menu, the culinary team has designed a trio of distinct degustation menus. Two with a selection of four temptations and one menu ranging from four to six courses. The menus offer a sumptuous array of seafood, meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes. When ordering from the Koral Traditional & Seasonal Monthly menu, guests may tailor their dining experience with up to four additional signature dishes.
With its laid-back ambience and delectable dining, Koral Restaurant also offers a full bistronomic experience – meaning guests can enjoy pre- or post-dinner drinks at the relaxing lounge area accompanied by a hypnotic soundtrack that captures the magic and mystery of life below the waves.
